Saffet Bekiroğlu
Architect

Saffet Kaya Bekiroglu has been practicing at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) since 2004. Besides having been responsible for several competition-winning designs such as the Aquatic Centre for London’s 2012 Olympics, Istanbul’s Kartal-Pendik Regeneration Master Plan and Cyprus’ Eleftheria Square, he is currently project architect for the Dellis Cay Tourist Resort Development Project in Turks & Caicos Islands, Caribbean Sea and Heydar Aliyev Culture Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan. Prior to ZHA, he has been part of Frank O. Gehry and Associates for several years, where he was involved in international large-scale projects. Saffet K. Bekiroglu received academic degrees from Istanbul Technical University and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He has been invited regularly as visiting critic and tutor at renowned architecture schools.
