Gurler Unlu is the Real Estate Coordinator for Garanti Koza Construction and currently leads the business development operations of the company. Between 1999 and 2004, he was engaged in the management of large scale projects for The Walsh Group (Chicago, USA). He also assumed various leadership roles in the Turkish hospitality industry (2004-2008) and was the Secretary General for GETOB (South Aegean Hoteliers Association) for the years 2006 and 2007.
Gurler Unlu is the founder and the president of the first Turkish real estate think-tank, GISP (Center for Strategic Thinking in Real Estate), is the member of the Auditing and Control Commission for Konutder (The Association of Turkish Residentail Developers and Investors), and has memberships in GYODER (The Association of Real Estate Investment Companies) and CEDBIK (Turkish Green Building Council). He is also the writer of two e-books: Real Estate Marketing: New Habits for the Old Town (Written in Turkish - 2009) and Real Estate Business Development: There is no Free Lunch (2011).
Gurler Unlu holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (Istanbul, Turkey - 1997), a master's degree in Project Management (MPM) from the Northwestern University (Evanston, IL - 1999), and an MBA (with honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Chicago, IL - 2004).
