Born in 1957, Taner Topcu was graduated from the Business Administration Faculty of Hacettepe University, where he studied Co-ops Management. From 1980 to 1984, he served as a manager of Kent Co-op's Batikent Project, a 55.000-household suburban area. Topcu had been the deputy manager of the Kentkur Co. from 1984 to 1989, where a total of 250.000-house new settlement projects were launched in 43 locations. In 1989, he started to consult to the Metropol Company of the City of Ankara, where he became the Deputy Manager in 1991. His workings included the Dikmen Valley Project and the Eryaman-Elvankoy New Settlement Project. From 1994 to 1996, he has lived in the New York City. Came back to Turkey, Topcu had been the consulting manager of the projects of 4500-unit Kusadasi Uydukent Project and 7500-unit Elvankoy Project from 1996 to 2000. Topcu has been the deputy of the ONCU Group since its foundation in 2005.
